Small Pet Beds
Small pet beds and extra small pet beds are designed to use for small breed dogs, toy dogs and cats.
If you have a small dog or cat, you'll want a small pet bed. It is extremely important to match the right bed size to your dog's size and body weight. You need to make sure that your small dog rests in a bed in a comfortable manner where his/her limbs remain inside the bed and there's enough space for him/her. After all, dogs spend many hours of the day in their resting areas, and they surely deserve comfort. When your dog rests well, he/she gets a deeper level of sleep, which helps him/her stay active and happy during the day.
It is so much fun to get a small bed for a small breed dog because there are more options for them than larger breeds. When choosing a small dog bed, you have to take into consideration the type of "sleeper" your dog is. Your small dog may lean on the edge of his/her bed, in which case you'll want to get a bolster style pet bed. Some dogs like to stretch in their sleep, so make sure to get them a small dog bed that will enable them to stretch and have enough room in their bed. A rectangular or round pillow bed suits this purpose. Dogs who curl in their sleep will enjoy a donut dog bed.
Other dogs which are shy or timid, like to "hide" when they rest or sleep, for this type of sleeper, there are great choices of dog beds, since there are all kinds of cute small beds like little tents, slippers and snuggles. Some small dogs, many cats and even ferrets, like to snuggle. They will benefit from using snuggles and 3-way beds. These small dog beds, with lining that is usually fur-like, are a source of many hours of quality and comfort. These snuggles turn from a cup shaped bed into a blanket, which means that there are three ways of using them.
Many pet beds have fabrics that are made with high tech components and their resistibility to dirt, odor and bacteria as well as durability are priceless when investing in a dog bed. Some of the small dog beds are also eco friendly or orthopedic beds, which means that these beds were made with more attention to older dogs or dogs that may be suffering from hip dysplasia, or arthritis.
Some people don't want their dog on the furniture. If that's you, get your small breed dog a small pet bed that will make him/her comfortable and truly feeling like part of the family.

Questions & Answers about Small Pet Toy
New small pet ideas? no rats plz.?
I have recently lost my pet rat, Gwen, and have been trying to decide on what new pet to get. I have seriously thought about a ferret. If you dont please leave information and the pet you think i should get (please no more rats) but If you think that is a good idea, please live information about...
habits,
diet,
needs,
excercise,
trianing,
and there moods (if they bite).
toys
habitat
and anything else they might need.
Ferrets
Habits: They are very playful when they are awake, but they're only up about 4-6 hours of the day. Quiet, fun, hyper, AND lazy
Diet: Obligate carnivores, meaning they can ONLY have meat, no grains or veggies.... high quality ferret kibble like evo, zupreem, or 8 in 1.. don't get the cheap stuff and don't feed them cat or dog food as it's not the same. Should run you about $20/bad. OR you can feed a raw diet of meat, bones, skin, feathers, and fur, but if your going to do that, reasearch it first!
Needs: Constant supply of fresh food and water. Lots of room, comfy things to cuddle up in, a litter box, at least 4 hours out of the cage every day with lots of attention from you, complete darkness at night, lots of toys
Exercise: 4 hours out of the cage, as much attention as possible from you, you can walk them if you want but you don't have to.
Training: Just litter training and bite training (same as a puppy) but neither or overly difficult to do...
Moods: for biting, they're exactly like puppies. The way they play with eachother is to play fight, so thats how they will play with you too. They have much thicker skin than us so they are used to biting each other with a little more force and not injuring eachother, but it will be a little bite for us. They just need to be trained that they can't bite so hard (just like a puppy).. use bitter apple spray and "NO!" and it shouldn't be too hard. You can either teach them never to put their teeth on you, or what i do, they can sort of mouth me (put their mouth on me with no pressure) and they get disciplined if they're too hard.. but I've never gotten actually bitten before, just a little harder than normal when playing. Sometimes they just go hyper and war dance all over the place, sometimes they are lazy bums.
Toys: Mine love plastic bags and socks. Dryer tube is great too. They basically play with whatever they want to play with. Mine has never liked store bought toys.
Habitat: As big of a cage as possible, with as many levels as possible, and solid bottom (rather than wire). Ferret nation is a great one. In the cage they need a litterbox, food, water, blankets, hammock. Outside the cage they need food, water, and a litterbox in every room.
Good luck!
hamster caring,,need tips on making my hamster happy!!!?
I think my hamster cage is a little bit small for my pet, alex, Should I make one!!??
Is rice hull ash good bedding??
What can I give him as a chew toy other than the chew toys bought from stores, bec. the pet shop are far away from us???
For your first question, measuring the cage. it should be around 12 x 12. Or if you are too lazy to do that, or think my answer is incorrect, try using some sense. For example, does your hamster look very cramped at all? You do not need a very big cage, unless you have money on your hands that you don't mind spending. You hamster can always explore around the house/yard/outside (ball recommended.)
And, no, I don't recommend you make a cage unless you are more "professional at it." Store - bought cages can be convenient, easier to clean, and easier to handle (unless you really believe you can make a better one).
Rice hull ash? Never heard of it, I'm sorry. But make sure it isn't coloured - I hear those ones aren't good for the hamster. Pine shavings and care fresh products should be good enough.
Lastly, for your third question. If you don't have a local pet shop, then you can always give your little hamster wood. simple little think blocks of wood are good.
Good Luck in taking care of your hamster! But remember, it isn't just about having a good home and toys. Hamsters need lots of love to be happy too!
Have a nice day/evening and Happy Halloween!
