Dog Dental Care: Healthier Teeth for Your Dog
Dog dental care should be provided to your pet as dental diseases are prone to happen to your beloved animals if their teeth are left unattended. Likewise, if you are already providing such care to your pet but is still suspecting that it is already suffering from a particular teeth problem, then better go immediately to the veterinarian for dental check up.
One way of implementing dog dental care is by providing “safe” bones, those without sharp part to your dog. He will certainly love to chew on them and swallow them. Make them do this from time to time. It helps them develop much stronger set of teeth in a natural way.
You must be reminded that there are certain dog breeds such as the Pekingese that are much prone to teeth conditions. This is because the teeth are crowned close to the oral cavity. Small dog breeds are actually prone to too much formation of plaque and so such dogs should be subjected to regular dental check up. Otherwise the plaque will further damage the teeth structure.
One dog dental care is by having raw beef bones for your dogs. They help the teeth of your dog from forming plaque. Build up of dangerous bacteria is also prevented.
Special dog toothbrushes can be availed from dog supply shops. However, you must be adept in the use of these brushes to effectively remove the dirt from the teeth. Wrong brushing will only allow the dirt and plaque from staying stubbornly on the dog teeth. Likewise, together with the toothbrush is a special dog tooth pastes that can be availed from veterinarians.
Special materials that can effectively remove plaque and tartar can also be had in many pet stores shops Soft toys and dry food that work as dog dental care products develop more tooth strength when regular used by your pet dog.

Why does my dog have very funky fishy breath?
She's a 5 month old beagle and I feed her only premium food, and she gets dental chews very frequently, but she still has very funky breath. Its been like that for the last month or so.
she probably needs her anal glands expressed. They smell fishy, and if loaded, she'll try to alleviate the discomfort herself by licking them. Thus the fishy breath.
What things do you need for your dog?
I've decided to make a list and share.
1. A new collar
2. A new leash (they're wearing out)
3. A new pet bed!!!! She soiled hers and the stain won't come out, she also kinda messed it up by scratching it so much
4. A harness!
5. Doggy tee's it's cold here and they look cute and she has short fur. No further explanation.
6. DOGGY TOYS! She had SO many, do you guys ever go through this? You buy it and then within a week it disappears?? O_o
7. Those dental chew things... Greenies! She loves them.
8. Nail clipper (I borrow my sisters- she has 3 dogs)
9. More doggy snacks? Maybe?

Greenies have been reformulated so they don't hurt dogs anymore, but they did. Now my puppy loves them. Gentle leaders work really well for dogs who pull, and it won't injure their neck. I did go through a lot of chew toys, now I buy Kongs and Nylabones, more expensive but they last forever, and you can stick some peanut butter in the Kong to entertain them for a long time. My dogs also love Busy Bones. In the winter here my dogs need coats too, and boots, I hate it but it hits about -50 for a few weeks in December, also if they accidentally step in salt or stand on ice too long they can get really dry sore feet so I have dog foot cream, yep sounds like they're spoiled rotten. I also have 4 or 5 dog crates for them, for traveling, or when we go out without them, which is rare. Choke chains with tags on each one. That's all I can think of for now.
